PractiFI's multi division structure allows you to set up your business in a way that makes sense for you and your business. PractiFI allows you to configure a hierarchical structure of Groups, Divisions and Team Members.
What is a division?
A division is a grouping of team members. Typically, a division represents regional offices or business units. Team members can belong to multiple divisions but they will always have a primary division. The division is one of the top level analytics and management views available within PractiFI. Divisions are hierarchical, which means that they can belong to other divisions.
What is a group?
A group is also a grouping of team members. Typically, groups are configured for other functions within the business that are not captured by divisions. For example, you may have a paraplanning group that spans multiple divisions but still require consolidated management and reporting over its functions.
What is a team member?
A team member is a user of a PractiFI. Team members can be in multiple divisions and in multiple groups and this will affect the way they use PractiFI. For example, where a team member is in multiple groups, they can access screens that provide them with work in progress that relates to those groups.
How can they be used together in PractiFI?
Let's say you have three offices across the country which are configured as divisions (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane). Within the business, there are also three operational functions (advice, paraplanning and customer service) - which would be configured as groups.
A paraplanner from the Sydney office would have visibility into both the Sydney office and the Paraplanning group, and workflow generated by this team member could be aggregated and reported on from either context.
